Gaia Dress releases 9/18!

Finally the Gaia Dress pattern is ready for release! It goes live Saturday the 18th @ noon on KnitKnots HC and @ Ravelry!

Inspired by Mother Nature, the Gaia Dress is a sweet, feminine frock with a full skirt embossed with stem and leaf lace. There are a few options for the dress, simple ones however; such as dress length (make it a swing top!) and sleeves (sleeveless, short or full length). The Gaia Dress consists of literally thousands of purl stitches, but the stem and leaf lace really breaks up the monotony nicely and the final result is breathtaking! I suggest for yarns selection you choose a semi solid or solid colored yarn, if you go with a colorway be sure it’s subtle or your lacework will get lost in the color patterning.

The Gaia Dress pattern was designed for the Intermediate knitter, a basic knowledge of knitting is required. NO chart knowledge is needed for the stem and leaf lace pattern- I have written it out longhand, but there is a chart included for those who like to knit from them.

18 stitches over 4” (4.5 SPI/stitches per inch)
Rows per inch is not important, as you will knit to measurement.

You will need:
●250-800 yards of worsted weight/aran yarn; 200-550 main color and 50-250 trim color. The pattern was drafted using Spud & Chloe Sweater.
●16” (24” for sizes ¾ and up) size 7 circular needles
●Size G crochet hook
●Darning/yarn needle
●1” decorative button (I get mine from Tessa Ann)
